About Me

Danielle Shingles

Principal Mediator – NMAS

Creating Mediation Matters Australia

I created Mediation Matters Australia and Mediation Matters Consulting because I was sick and tired of paying so-called qualified people to decode and write documents for my family’s small business and having to rewrite their mistakes.

In my role as a business owner, I found myself becoming known as the unofficial contract auditor – I could just see things that others had missed (usually to the annoyance of the company providing the contract).

In my past roles, mediating high-risk and highly emotional meetings with parents, leaders, stakeholders, children, young adults, social workers, and businesses, was my daily gig. I loved it then and I love it now.

In my background as a teacher and in education leadership I consistently found myself in the role of being the collaborative go-to person. People naturally felt at ease with me and my non biased and direct approach.

Saving clients thousands in legal fees

I do not believe you and the party you’re disagreeing with need to spend in the vicinity of $20-$100K in the courts to come to a win/win solution and agreement. Nobody really wins in these situations as they have lifelong impacts, and can cause even more stress than the original dispute!

Mediation has a place in many disputes and is effective in lessening the disharmony and cost and increasing the satisfaction and ethical outcomes for all parties.

I provide mediation for all kinds of disputes including:

mediating a property

small business contract

neighbourhood dispute

employee contract

workplace or education sector dispute or disagreement
